LTC Greenwood is a native of St. Louis, Missouri. He received his commission through the Missouri State University ROTC program in 2005 upon his earning a Bachelor of Science Degree in Physical Education.

LTC Greenwood’s military education includes the Infantry Basic Officer Leaders Course, Transportation Officer Basic Course, Maneuver Captains Career Course, Command and General Staff College, Airborne School, Jumpmaster School, Air Assault School, Ranger School, and the Combatives Master Trainer Course.

LTC Greenwood’s assignments include Aide de Camp, Division Headquarters, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), Ft. Campbell, Ky; Commander of Charlie Company, 2nd Battalion, 4th Infantry Regiment, 10th Mountain Division, Ft. Polk, La; Commander of HHC, 4th Brigade, 10th Mountain Division, Ft. Polk, La; Commander of Charlie Company, 4th Ranger Training Battalion, Ft. Benning, Ga; Operations Officer of 1st Battalion, 507th Infantry Regiment (U.S. Army Airborne School) Ft. Benning, Ga; Executive Officer of Task Force 1st Battalion, 28th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Infantry Division, Ft. Benning, Ga; Operations Officer of 199th Infantry Brigade, Maneuver Center of Excellence, Ft. Benning, Ga; and most recently as Commander of Charlie Company, 1st Battalion, 1st Security Forces Assistance Brigade, Ft. Moore, Ga. Throughout which he supported three combat deployments in support of the Global War on Terrorism and two operational deployments in Central America.

LTC Greenwood’s awards and decorations include: the Meritorious Unit Commendation, Army Superior Unit Award, Bronze Star Medal (1 OLC), Meritorious Service Medal (2 OLC), Army Commendation Medal (3 OLC), Army Achievement Medal (2 OLC), He has also earned the Expert Infantryman badge, Combat Action Badge, Senior Parachutist Badge, Air Assault Badge, Norwegian Footmarch Badge (Silver), German Jump Wings, and the German Armed Forces Badge for Military Proficiency (Gold).

LTC Greenwood has been married for over 14 years to the former Brooke Riley of Andalusia, Alabama. Together they have an 9 year old son Easton, and 6 year old daughter Avery.
