Manuel De Jesus Sanchez Diaz II is a native of San Juan, Puerto Rico. In June 2004 he graduated as a Distinguished Military Graduate from University of Puerto Rico and was commissioned as a Quartermaster Officer with a branch detail to Armor.
LTC Sanchez Diaz has served in a variety of command and staff positions. Prior to assuming his current duties, he served as the Deputy Commander and Executive Officer for the 528th Sustainment Brigade (Special Operations, Airborne) Ft. Liberty, NC, WHINSEC Director for the School of Professional Military Education, CGSOC Instructor, Fort Moore, GA, the 10th CAB Support Operations Officer (SPO), 10th HSTB Executive Officer (XO), 10TH DIVARTY Sustainment Officer (S4), Fort Drum, NY, Instructor/Writer for the Combined Logistics Captain Career Course, Instructor/Writer for the Pre-Commanders Course, Fort Gregg-Adams, VA, Company Commander for the 135th Quartermaster Petroleum Company in Fort Stewart, GA, Transportation Operations Officer for the 3rd Sustainment Brigade, Ft. Stewart, GA and Joint Base Balad, Iraq, Assistant S3/Force Protection Officer for the 94th Brigade Support Battalion in Rustamiyah, Iraq, Squadron S4 and Military Logistics Advisor for the 3rd Squadron, 89th Cavalry Regiment in Loyalty, Iraq, and Fort Polk, LA, Platoon Leader for Blackfoot Troop, 3rd Squadron, 89th Cavalry Regiment in Qwest, Iraq, and Fort Polk, LA. LTC Sanchez Diaz is a 2015 graduate of the Florida Institute of Technology (FIT) with a MS in Logistics Management and a 2004 graduate of the University of Puerto Rico with a Bachelor in Physical Education. His military education includes the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College, Operational Contracting Support Course, Joint Logistics Course, Support Operations Course, Army Basic Instructor Course, Faculty Development Phase I - III Course, Combined Logistics Captain Career Course, Armor Officer Basic Courses, and Airborne Course. LTC Sanchez Diaz awards and decorations include the, Army Meritorious Service Medal with four oak leaf clusters, Army Commendation Medal with two oak leaf clusters, Army Achievement Medal with two oak leaf clusters, Humanitarian Relief Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Parachutist Badge, Iraqi Campaign Medal with three campaign stars, and the Colombian Army Military Medal “Fe En La Causa” . He is married to Lorymar (Lory), and have three energetic and wonderful boys: Manuel and Hector, ten years old, and Esteban five. The most important thing in life is Family!
