

LTC Daniel Rix
2-351 INF Battalion Commander
LTC Daniel Rix is a native of Michigan. He commissioned as an Infantry Officer in 2005.
LTC Rix’s assignments include Fort Moore, GA; Fort Liberty, NC; HQDA G-3/5/7, Pentagon; Fort Leavenworth, KS; Joint and Army Staff, Arlington, VA; U.S. Border Patrol HQ, Washington, DC; Camp Humphreys, Korea; and Camp Shelby, MS. LTC Rix deployed to Afghanistan three times and Africa once as part of Operation ENDURING FREEDOM. He also deployed to Iraq as part of Operation INHERENT RESOLVE.
LTC Rix has held numerous positions, including Platoon Leader, Executive Officer, Assistant S-3, Chief of Operations, G-3 Advisor to foreign militaries, J-3 Operations Director, Crisis Action Team Officer, Program Manager, Deputy Chief, and Interagency Fellow. He is currently the Battalion Commander for 2-351 IN BN, 177 AR BDE.
LTC Rix holds a B.S. in Engineering Management, Master of Operational Studies, and M.E. in Project Management. He is a graduate of the IOBC, MCCC, and CGSC. His decorations include the Bronze Star Medal, DMSM (3rd Award), MSM (2nd Award), ARCOM (5th Award), JSAM (2nd Award), CIB, EIB, Senior Parachutist Badge, Air Assault Badge, Ranger Tab, and other tabs and awards.
LTC Rix has been married to his beautiful wife for 19 years. They have three wonderful daughters.
